Creating environments to support learning and play.

Curriculum

Seaham Preschool uses the National Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF, Australian Government Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations for the Council of Australian Government) as a tool to guide our program. The key values of the framework are Belonging, Being, and Becoming. Our preschool is set on 1.5 acres at the end of a cul-de-sac providing us with a quiet, peaceful, and natural environment, away from the activity and hustle and bustle of the main road and town. https://seahampreschool.com.au/curriculum/

School Readiness

School readiness is embedded in our everyday to guide children to become confident in their own abilities, skills, and actions. Our program incorporates social, emotional, fine motor (small muscles), gross motor (large muscles), cognitive (intellectual), and language development. When children are provided opportunities to play, communicate, and make meaning of the world around them they build confidence and the skills to grow. https://seahampreschool.com.au/school-readiness/

Quality Early Learning

In NSW all early childhood services participate in the assessment and rating process. Each centre’s operation is assessed against 7 Quality Standards. This process involves educators reflecting on current practices, setting goals for continuous improvement, and working towards achieving these goals. The centre then receives an assessment and rating visit where current practices, policies and procedures are reviewed. Our centre is currently proudly rated as exceeding the National Quality Standards.
